The Social Contract

Prime Minister says he is satisfied with overall achievement of NKRAs

What is NKRA ?
It stands for National Key Result Areas.
The Six NKRAs are :
1. Reducing Crime
2. Fighting Corruption
3.........
4......... and so on and so forth

For Reducing Crime I have contributed towards part of his satisfaction. I paid RM50 a month faithfully every month in advance.

I contributed RM200 towards the installation of strong steel gates at my hind-lane.
I freed the police force to

Arrest blogger that talk nonsense

Those anti ISA

Those man in orange - Hindraf

Those people in Black - Dead of Justice

Those carry candles and sing song

Politician that simply talk

On Fighting Corruption, our Corruption Perception Index (CPI) ranking has slipped from 47th position in 2008 to 56th position this year. Drop 9 places only, single digit drop not double digits, can not ask for more right? Should be happy and satisfy. Some more, still not very far away from Singapore's 3rd position. 53 places away only. From 1957 until now, just nice, 53 years. dropped 1 position a year only, on average.

Jean-Jacques Rousseau (1712-1778)

Rousseau was a great philosopher, writer and composer of the eighteenth-century Enlightenment. His political philosophy influenced the French Revolution and the development of modern political and educational thought.

To Rousseau, "Self preservation is the basic foundation of a society".
Self preservation - Protection of oneself from harm or destruction - My RM50 every month.

In his book The Social Contract, in Book I, Chapter 2: The First Societies
"The most ancient of all societies, and the only one that is natural, is the family and even so the children remain attached to the father only so long as they need him for their preservation. As soon as this need ceases, the natural bond is dissolved. The children released from the obedience they owed to the father, and the father, released from the care he owed his children, return equally to independence......."

In the sense of a bigger society, you just replace the father with the Legislators and the children with the people minus love of a father. The people need the legislators for their preservation, a basic foundation for a society. As soon as this need ceases, (Everybody is paying RM50 for their own preservation that the legislators failed to provide) .......I shall not elaborate further.

In Book III, Chapter 1: Government in General, he said,"The legislative power belongs to the people, and can belong to it alone."........ I shall stop here, good night, sleep tight, don't let the bugs bites.
