Michelle Yeoh Believes in BN

Michelle Yeoh,

"This is a democratic country. We're all free to voice our opinions. I think people shouldn't be personal. I think all of us want to do good for our own country. And I believe they want to do the same thing."

Moonrise at Mount Victoria, Willington, NZ.

It's awesome,
hard to believe that it is real,
BUT IT IS

Astrophotographer, Mark Gee :

"Full Moon Silhouettes is a real time video of the moon rising over the Mount Victoria Lookout in Wellington, New Zealand. People had gathered up there this night to get the best view possible of the moon rising. I captured the video from 2.1km away on the other side of the city. It's something that I've been wanting to photograph for a long time now, and a lot of planning and failed attempts had taken place. Finally, during moon rise on the 28th January 2013, everything fell into place and I got my footage."

Dow - Slight modification

Dow dropped 81 points to close Thursday trading at 14,537 level. I have modified my wave count slightly but the overall picture remains the same. It is whether wave (vii) is completed? I have adjusted the lower trend-line slightly lower, a new parallel line. If Dow can hold above the 14450 level, my wave count is as shown below.

If Dow continues to move lower, then it is wave (viii) in the making.

When the Bank of Japan and the US Federal Reserve are 'printing money' at a combined rate of US$170 billion a month, I think the asset bubble can be inflated further. The asset bubble will burst ultimately but not now.

Gold - Looking for end of wave 4

On 26th January, speaking at the World Economic Forum 2013 in Davos, Switzerland, George Soros considered gold as the 'Ultimate asset bubble'. The question here is how high can gold price goes before the bubble bursts ?

On Bloomberg TV yesterday, referring to Monday's 10% drop, Marc Faber said,  "I love the markets. I love the fact that gold is finally breaking down". "That will offer an excellent buying opportunity".

"I think we're going to have a major low in gold within the next couple of weeks".
"I'm not worried. I'm happy gold is finally coming down, which will provide a very good entry point".

From the chart :

Refer to my previous posts on Gold, I continue to maintain that the current drop is the wave 4 pullback of the major wave (III).

Assuming this current wave 4 correction has the same magnitude as that of the wave 2 correction, with a 34% pullback, the end of wave 4 is likely to be at 1270 level.

As shown above, Monday's closing price of 1329 can be the end of sub-wave (vii) and the current rebound can be sub-wave (viii). The next sub-wave (ix) drop will end the wave C of wave 4 at around 1270 level.

The gain for wave 1 is 310% and that of wave 3 is 182%, by assuming the percentage increase of wave 5 is also about 182%, wave 5 may move from a low of 1270 to a high of 3580.

A Volatile Monday

Beside the two explosions at the Boston Marathon

Gold plunged by 10% to its lowest level in two years with high volume.

Crude Oil sank to a 9-month-low.

And the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 265 points or 1.8% under heavy profit taking.

The reason -
China's first quarter GDP rose 7.7%, 0.3% below the estimated 8%. It sparked a commodity sell off from investors.

Or it is just another case of

With money printing at full speed by the central bankers, I don't expect the asset bubble to burst at this stage.

Turning to Dow, the question is whether Dow can remain above its lower trend-line ?

If it can't - wave (viii) has started

If it can - wave (vii) has not finished yet.
One more surge (or many more) to go.

The worst that can happen is a 7% to 8% wave (viii) correction.

Malaysia 13th General Election - Check your ballot paper carefully

It is always in my mind that an acceptable ballot paper with a valid vote is as shown below.

I was really shocked to read from the China Press (7th April) that the following ballot papers are acceptable by the election commission as paper with a valid vote.

A tick, a small black dot, a small circle or an asterisk on the voting colume is acceptable.

A tick, a small black dot, a small circle or an asterisk on the name colume is also acceptable.

A tick, a small black dot, a small circle or an asterisk on the symbol colume is acceptable too.

They are all acceptable.

No wonder I have been receiving emails from friends advising me to check my ballot paper carefully on polling day. The followings have been widely circulated on internet.

A clean and marked ballot paper

No marking on counterfoil and split stamping

A valid vote and aspoilt vote

So, be careful, be very very careful.
Watch out for small dots

A final thing, any mark at the back of a ballot paper is also considered a spoilt ballot paper.
